COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Pharmaceutical Business and Technology is structured to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of the pharmaceutical industry through a modular approach spanning four to five semesters. In Semester 1, students focus on fundamental aspects of the field, including pharmaceutical processes, production, quality systems, and the regulatory landscape of pharmaceutical business, building a strong foundation in both operational and compliance requirements. Semester 2 advances learners’ knowledge by exploring pharmaceutical technology transfer, emerging trends in the 21st century, and strategy, leadership, and the culture of innovation, emphasizing the integration of technical expertise with management and leadership skills. Semester 3 covers operational excellence and the science of innovation, along with clinical research management, equipping students with the tools to optimize processes, drive innovation, and manage clinical studies effectively. The final stage, Semester 4 or 5, is devoted to research methods and the dissertation, enabling students to conduct in-depth, independent research and apply their learning to real-world challenges within the pharmaceutical sector. Across the program, students gain a blend of technical, strategic, and leadership competencies while benefiting from a flexible delivery model, including live online classes, practical workshops, and mentoring, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for senior roles in pharmaceutical business, technology, and research environments globally.
