COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Interactive Digital Media at Griffith College is structured to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of the digital media landscape. In Stage One, students develop foundational knowledge in digital media and society, visual communication, web authoring, and research methods, establishing both the theoretical and technical skills necessary for advanced interactive media projects. Stage Two builds on this foundation with modules in interaction design, programming for interactive digital media, digital media platforms, and the business of digital media, equipping students to create, manage, and implement interactive digital solutions in professional contexts. The program also offers a wide range of elective modules, allowing students to specialise in areas such as game design and development, animation theory and principles, digital storytelling, 3D modelling and rendering, desktop publishing, web frameworks, eLearning, and video production. These electives provide opportunities to expand technical expertise, creativity, and industry-specific knowledge, supporting students in developing a portfolio of work relevant to contemporary media and technology industries. Throughout the course, learners gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and software, preparing them for careers at the intersection of design, technology, and digital content creation.
