COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Computing program is structured into three stages that progressively develop students’ knowledge, technical abilities, and research skills in advanced computing fields. In the first stage, students study key foundational modules that introduce important concepts and technologies in modern computing. These include Data Mining and Machine Learning, which focuses on extracting meaningful patterns and insights from large data sets using intelligent algorithms, and Mobile Development, which teaches students how to design and build applications for mobile devices. Parallel and Distributed Programming introduces techniques for processing large computational tasks across multiple systems to improve efficiency and performance. Students also complete a Research Methods module, which develops their ability to conduct academic and technical research, analyse data, and present findings effectively. In the second stage, learners explore more advanced and specialised topics. The Deep Learning and Generative AI module examines modern artificial intelligence technologies and neural network models used in areas such as automation and data analysis. Agile Software Development focuses on collaborative software design and modern project management methods. Advanced Networks and Cybersecurity provides knowledge of network systems and the strategies used to protect digital infrastructure from threats. Cloud Platforms and Applications explores cloud computing technologies used to develop and manage scalable digital solutions. In the final stage, students complete a dissertation or dissertation by practice, conducting independent research under academic supervision.
