COURSE CURRICULUM

The LL.B. (Hons) in Law program is structured across three stages and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, professional skills, and specialised areas of law. In Stage One, students are introduced to the foundations of legal study through modules such as Introduction to Law and Legal Skills, Law of Contract, Law of Tort, and Criminal Law. They also study Information Technology Skills to support legal research and professional work. In Stage Two, students continue developing their legal knowledge through mandatory modules including Land Law, Company Law, Constitutional Law, and Professional Research Practice and Advocacy, which strengthen research, analytical, and advocacy abilities. Students can also choose from several elective modules such as Administrative Law, Law of Evidence, Public International Law, Intellectual Property Law, Revenue Law, International Human Rights Law, and Law and Ethics in Healthcare, allowing them to explore different legal fields. In Stage Three, students focus on advanced legal study through core modules such as Equity and Trusts, Law of the European Union, and Jurisprudence, which deepen their understanding of legal theory and practice. They can also select from a wide range of electives including Dissertation, Innocence Project, Miscarriages of Justice, Corporate Governance and Financial Services Law, International Commercial Law, Environmental Law and Sustainability, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Law. Stand-alone modules for the King’s Inns are also available for students pursuing professional legal qualification pathways.
