COURSE CURRICULUM

The animation program includes a series of practical and creative modules designed to develop students’ technical skills, artistic ability, and understanding of visual storytelling. Animation Studio 1 introduces students to the basic principles of animation production, where they learn the foundations of movement, timing, and character animation while working on guided creative projects. Life Drawing focuses on improving observational drawing skills and understanding human anatomy, posture, and movement, which are essential for creating believable animated characters. Narrative and Storytelling helps students understand how to develop engaging stories, characters, and visual narratives that communicate ideas effectively through animation. Animation Studio 2 builds on the skills learned earlier, allowing students to work on more advanced animation projects and refine their techniques using industry tools and workflows. Storyboarding and Layout teaches students how to visually plan scenes before production begins, including camera angles, composition, and scene progression, helping them translate written ideas into visual sequences. Texturing and Unwrapping introduces the technical process of preparing 3D models for animation by applying surface textures and materials, allowing characters and environments to appear more realistic and visually detailed. Together, these modules provide a balanced mix of creative development and technical training, helping students build the skills needed to produce professional-quality animation and prepare for careers in the animation, gaming, and visual effects industries.
