COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture program is structured over three years to develop students’ creative design abilities, technical knowledge, and professional skills in interior architecture. In Year One, students are introduced to the foundations of interior design and architecture through modules such as Interior Projects, Ergonomics and Anthropometrics, and Architectural Drafting with 2D CAD. They also study Design Graphics, Materials and Finishes, Lighting Design, and the History of Interior Design and Architecture, which provide both creative and theoretical understanding. Additional modules such as Building Regulations in Interior Design and Design Culture and Theory help students understand the professional and cultural context of design. In Year Two, the program focuses on developing more advanced technical and creative skills. Students continue with Interior Projects while learning modern digital tools through Introduction to BIM and Advanced BIM. Other modules such as Furniture and Fittings, Building Construction, and Sustainability in Interior Design help students understand the practical and environmental aspects of designing interior spaces. Design Futures, Brand and Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and Business also introduce students to industry trends and business knowledge. In Year Three, students concentrate on advanced projects and professional preparation. Modules include Interior Projects, BIM Collaboration, Conservation of Interior Environments, and Advanced Rendering. Students also complete a Dissertation while studying Project Management, Materials Science and Structural Mechanics, and Practice Management, preparing them for careers in interior architecture and design.
