COURSE CURRICULUM

The LL.B. (Hons) in Commercial Law at Griffith College is structured across three stages, offering a comprehensive and progressive legal education. In Stage One, students build a foundation in essential legal principles with modules including Criminal Law, Law of Contract, Law of Tort, Introduction to Law and Legal Skills, and Information Technology Skills, providing the critical knowledge and practical skills necessary for legal studies. Stage Two expands on this foundation with specialised subjects such as Land Law, Company Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Law of Evidence, alongside Professional Research Practice and Advocacy, Public International Law, Intellectual Property Law, Revenue Law, International Human Rights Law, and Law and Ethics in Healthcare, equipping students with both national and international legal perspectives and professional competencies. Stage Three focuses on advanced and applied areas of law, including Equity and Trusts, Law of the European Union, Jurisprudence, Criminology, Corporate Governance and Financial Services Law, International Commercial Law, International Privacy and Data Protection, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Law of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Law and Sustainability, Peace and Reconciliation, and Private Client in Practice. Students also engage in a Dissertation, and practical initiatives such as the Innocence Project and Miscarriages of Justice, providing hands-on legal experience. This structure ensures graduates have a strong theoretical foundation, specialised commercial knowledge, and practical skills for professional legal practice and global careers.
