COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Business curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business knowledge while gradually developing advanced managerial and analytical skills. In the first year, students study core subjects such as business mathematics, business management, digital and AI technologies for business, essential skills for success, financial accounting, finance fundamentals, marketing essentials, and the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. These modules introduce the fundamental concepts of business operations, financial decision-making, and economic environments. In the second year, the focus shifts to more specialised business topics including cost and management accounting, digital marketing strategy and optimisation, entrepreneurship, human resource management, legal aspects of business, managing information systems, operations and supply chain management, organisational behaviour, and personal and professional development. These subjects help students understand modern business practices and develop professional competencies. In the third year, students complete mandatory modules such as business financial management, business plan development, ethics and sustainability, global business environment, and strategic management, which prepare them for leadership and decision-making roles. In addition, students can choose elective modules like audit and assurance, branding and communications, customer relations and personal selling, employment relations, financial data analysis, global marketing, income tax and VAT, international HRM, marketing analytics, performance management and reward, project management, and talent development to specialise according to their career interests.
