COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Business (HRM) program includes a structured curriculum that gradually develops students’ knowledge of business fundamentals before focusing on human resource management in the final year. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in core business subjects such as business management, business mathematics, financial accounting, finance fundamentals, marketing essentials, and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. They also study digital and AI technologies for business and essential skills for success, which help them understand the role of technology and professional skills in modern organisations. During the second year, the program expands students’ understanding of business operations and organisational behaviour. Modules include cost and management accounting, entrepreneurship, human resource management, legal aspects of business, managing information systems for business, operations and supply chain management, and digital marketing strategy and implementation. Personal and professional development is also included to enhance communication and career skills. In the third year, students focus on advanced business and HR-related topics through mandatory modules such as business financial management, strategic management, global business environments, ethics and sustainability, and the development of a business plan. Students then choose from elective modules including employee relations, international HRM, performance management and reward, and talent development. Overall, the curriculum prepares graduates with practical business knowledge and specialised HR management skills needed in modern organisations.
