COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance program is structured over three years and provides students with a strong foundation in business, finance, and accounting principles. In the first year, students study core subjects such as business management, business mathematics, financial accounting, finance fundamentals, marketing essentials, and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. They also develop essential academic and professional abilities through modules such as digital and AI technologies for business and essential skills for success. In the second year, the program deepens students’ understanding of financial and accounting practices through modules including accounting and finance technologies, financial accounting and analysis, financial management and analysis, international financial reporting, management accounting, and business and company law. Students also explore applied economics and personal and professional development to enhance their practical and career-ready skills. In the third year, students focus on advanced and specialised areas such as business analysis and reporting, corporate finance, corporate governance, international corporate reporting, corporation tax and capital gains tax, and performance management. In addition, students can choose from a range of elective modules such as audit and assurance, banking and sustainable finance, financial data analysis, equity valuation and analysis, fixed income securities, portfolio management, project management, and income tax and VAT. This structure ensures students gain comprehensive knowledge and practical expertise required for careers in accounting and finance.
