ABOUT UNIVERSITY

Griffith College Dublin is one of the oldest and largest private higher education institutions in Dublin, Ireland. It was originally established in 1974 by Diarmuid Hegarty as Business and Accounting Training and later became Griffith College Dublin after moving to the historic Griffith Barracks campus on South Circular Road in 1991. The college began awarding degree programmes in 1990, starting with Computer Science validated by the University of Ulster, followed by a Business Studies degree. Today, Griffith College has four campuses, two in Dublin and additional campuses in Cork and Limerick, which were developed through institutional acquisitions. The college currently serves nearly 8,000 students, including about 1,400 international students from more than 77 countries. Its main Dublin campus is located close to the city centre and includes student residences, a library, creative studios, restaurants, a gym, and student union facilities. Griffith College offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes in fields such as business, law, computing, journalism, media, psychology, design, fashion, music, and drama. It is also known for its professional accountancy education and provides programmes accredited by major bodies such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, and IATI. The campus also hosts the historic Leinster School of Music and Drama, which provides education and examinations in music and drama.
