COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Studies degree is a well-rounded and flexible program that equips students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in various business sectors. In the first year, students are introduced to key disciplines including Economics, Accounting, Marketing, IT Skills, Business Mathematics, and Business Analytics. Courses such as Psychology in Organisations, Critical Thinking for Business, and Learning Innovation for Enterprise help students develop problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of how businesses function in dynamic environments.In the second year, the curriculum deepens with core modules like Business Law, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Industrial Economics. Students also explore modern business tools and practices through subjects such as Digital Marketing, Applied Business Analytics, Information Systems, and Ethics. The Changing Consumer and Financial Markets provide insight into evolving market trends and financial systems. Critical Thinking and The Innovators Toolkit continue to support creative thinking and practical business innovation.The third year offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience through an 11-month paid work placement (INTRA) or to study abroad at one of the university’s top European partner institutions. This year is optional for those pursuing the three-year route but strongly encouraged for those opting for the four-year degree. An optional summer school can also provide academic credit toward final-year options.In the final year, students consolidate their learning with key modules like Business Strategy and New Enterprise Development. They also choose a specialisation based on their interests and career goals, selecting from Human Resource Management, Business Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management of Operations, or Business Analytics. This specialisation allows for focused study in a chosen field, making graduates highly adaptable and well-prepared for diverse roles across the global business landscape.
