COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Accounting and Finance is structured over three years and is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in both accounting and financial principles, along with essential business knowledge and skills. In the first year, students are introduced to core subjects such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounting Mathematics, Law, Business Analytics, and Economics. The curriculum also emphasizes the development of soft skills and critical thinking through modules like Critical Thinking for Business and Learning Innovation for Enterprise. Students also have the opportunity to study a language and gain early exposure to Planning and Control, laying the groundwork for understanding organizational processes and performance.In the second year, the course deepens students' knowledge with more advanced modules, including International Accounting, Quantitative Methods, and Financial Management. Students continue to build on their accounting expertise through further studies in Financial and Management Accounting, while also exploring broader business concepts such as Company Law, Business Ethics, and Information Systems. Modules like Accounting for Sustainable Business and The Innovators Toolkit encourage students to consider contemporary challenges and innovative thinking in business practice. The language option and critical thinking modules continue, supporting well-rounded academic and personal development.In the final year, students study more specialized and strategic topics. Core modules include Business Strategy, Taxation, Management Accounting, and Macroeconomic Policy, providing insight into high-level decision-making and public economic frameworks. Students also continue their language studies and are given the opportunity to specialize in one of four key areas: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management of Operations. This allows for deeper focus aligned with individual career goals and interests, preparing graduates for professional roles or further study.
