COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management is structured across three semesters, offering a comprehensive curriculum that blends theoretical learning with practical application. In Semester 1, students begin by exploring Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which focuses on creating fair and respectful workplaces. Human Capital Management and Organisational Behaviour examines how individuals and teams function within organisations and how HR strategies can influence performance and culture. Employment Law provides an understanding of legal frameworks governing the workplace, while HR Analytics equips learners with data-driven tools to support evidence-based decision-making in human resource functions. In Semester 2, the focus shifts to advanced HR practices and leadership development. Reinventing Performance Management covers modern approaches to employee evaluation and engagement, moving away from traditional appraisal systems. Dynamic Leadership Development helps students build leadership skills necessary for navigating complex organisational environments. Applied Strategic Management introduces key concepts in aligning HR functions with overall business strategy. Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management explores current and emerging challenges in the field, encouraging students to engage with real-world HR scenarios. The semester also includes a Research Methods module, which prepares learners for independent research and critical analysis required in the final stage of the program.Semester 3 is dedicated to a major research component where students choose between a Dissertation or an Applied Project. The Dissertation allows for an in-depth academic investigation into a specific HR topic, while the Applied Project offers the opportunity to address a practical issue within a real organisational setting. This final stage enables students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program in a meaningful and career-focused way. The course structure is designed to develop highly skilled, strategic HR professionals capable of driving innovation and contributing to organisational success in diverse and evolving workplace environments.
