COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Business Analytics is structured to provide students with a dynamic and flexible learning environment that integrates multimodal delivery, active participation, peer-led engagement, and reflective practices. The program blends asynchronous learning content, which includes knowledge checks for individual reflection, with synchronous workshops, both in-person and online. These workshops are designed to explore theoretical foundations and practical applications of business analytics, encouraging collaborative discussion and critical thinking. The assessment strategy throughout the program is 100% continuous, comprising a diverse range of evaluation methods such as group and individual practical projects, reports, portfolios, technical demonstrations, and presentations. This format ensures ongoing engagement and practical skill development across all modules.The course content is divided across three stages. In Stage 1, students develop essential foundations with modules in Programming for Analytics (10 ECTS), Requirements Analysis, Business Database Management, Business Strategy, and Research Methods (each 5 ECTS). These modules equip learners with the core technical, strategic, and research skills necessary for advanced study. In Stage 2, learners progress to more advanced subjects such as Business Intelligence and Visualisation, Project Management for Business Analytics, Applied Statistics and Machine Learning (10 ECTS), Financial and Business Analytics (10 ECTS), and Applied Research Methods (5 ECTS). This stage provides in-depth knowledge of how analytics tools are applied in business contexts and decision-making. Stage 3 comprises a 25 ECTS Dissertation or Applied Research Project, where students integrate learning by conducting a substantial piece of independent research or a practical analytics project.Overall, the course combines theoretical instruction with real-world application, preparing graduates to lead data-driven strategies and initiatives in a wide range of industries. The structure and content of the program reflect current industry demands, providing students with the analytical, technical, and managerial skills needed to succeed in today’s data-centric business environments.
