COURSE CURRICULUM

The Higher Diploma in Business is structured over two semesters and includes twelve core modules that provide a comprehensive foundation in essential areas of business. In Semester 1, students begin with Business Operations Management, which introduces the principles and practices involved in managing business processes efficiently. Business ICT explores the use of information and communication technologies in supporting business activities, while Legal Issues for Business provides an understanding of the legal environment in which businesses operate. Business Sustainability addresses contemporary challenges in environmental and social responsibility, helping learners understand how sustainability can be integrated into business strategy. Economics in the Business Environment offers insight into economic principles and their application in decision-making, and Management and Organisational Behaviour focuses on understanding how individuals and teams function within organisations.In Semester 2, the focus shifts to more specialised and strategic topics. Human Capital Management examines how people are managed and developed within organisations. Global Marketing explores international marketing strategies and consumer behaviour in diverse markets. Business Finance equips students with the financial knowledge required to interpret financial information and support decision-making. Innovation, Creativity, and Enterprise encourages entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving. Supply Chain Management introduces the key concepts involved in managing the flow of goods, services, and information across the value chain. The semester concludes with Business Strategy, a capstone module where students integrate their learning to develop strategic thinking and business planning skills.Together, these modules ensure that learners gain a well-rounded understanding of business operations, strategy, and management.
