COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance with Part III ACCA qualification is structured over four years, providing students with a solid academic foundation and advanced professional preparation in accounting, finance, and business. In Year 1, students are introduced to the core principles of business and finance through modules such as Economic Perspective, IT Essentials, Business with Law for Accounting Students, and Maths & Statistics for Finance. Foundational accounting skills are developed alongside personal development modules like Learning to Learn and Communication for Personal Success, which support academic and professional growth.In Year 2, the program focuses on building professional and technical competencies. Modules such as Employability Skills and Innovation & Entrepreneurship prepare students for the modern workplace, while Financial Management, Financial Accounting, and Cost Management deepen their understanding of financial operations. Management and Business & Company Law provide a broader business context, ensuring students are well-rounded in legal and organisational practices.Year 3 further strengthens practical and advanced knowledge with modules such as Employability in Action and Lifelong Learning, emphasizing real-world application and continued professional development. Technical modules include Performance Management, Financial Reporting, Taxation Systems, Advanced Financial Management, and Audit & Assurance, preparing students for senior-level responsibilities and strategic thinking.Year 4 is dedicated to completing the final stage of the ACCA professional qualification. Students undertake four ACCA Part III modules: Strategic Business Leader (SBL), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), Advanced Financial Management (AFM), and Advanced Performance Management (APM).
