COURSE CURRICULUM

The Environmental Engineering MSc curriculum is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary to address complex environmental challenges. In the first year, students study a broad range of interdisciplinary subjects that integrate natural sciences, engineering, economics, and management. Courses such as Applied Statistics and Mathematical Modeling and Optimization equip students with analytical tools to evaluate environmental data and design effective solutions. Environment Biology and Nature Protection, Ecology for Engineers, Geosciences, and Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Toxicity provide a strong scientific foundation for understanding ecosystems, environmental processes, and pollution impacts.In addition, students gain insight into regulatory and managerial aspects through Environmental Law and Economics, Environmental and Quality Management, Production Management and Life Cycle Analysis, and Environmental Resource Management. These subjects prepare graduates to assess environmental impacts while considering economic feasibility and sustainability principles. Environmental Modelling and Environmental Informatics, Environmental Engineering Measurement Techniques, Monitoring, and Environmental State Assessment develop technical competencies in data collection, system analysis, and the use of modern software tools for environmental evaluation. Safety and Environmental Risk, Environmental Health, Environmental Operations, and Auditing further enhance students’ ability to identify risks, ensure compliance with standards, and implement preventive measures in industrial and public sectors.In the second year, students participate in Environmental Summer Professional Practice, which provides valuable hands-on experience in real-world environmental projects, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in professional settings. The program culminates in a Thesis, where students conduct independent research or engineering design work, integrating scientific, technical, and managerial knowledge. Overall, the curriculum prepares graduates to design, manage, and optimize environmental technologies, prevent and mitigate environmental damage, and contribute to sustainable development, while also providing a solid foundation for further doctoral studies.
