The MSc in Crop Production Engineering equips students with advanced knowledge and practical skills for modern plant production, combining natural sciences, engineering, technology, and management principles. In the first year, the curriculum covers the physiological and biochemical foundations of cultivated plants, emphasizing organic chemistry, biochemistry, and applied soil science. Students gain a solid understanding of agricultural microbiology, plant genetics, and biotechnology, alongside adaptive tillage practices. The program also addresses plant health through courses on crop diseases, pest management, and weed control, while integrating quality control and nutrient supply management for field crops. Agricultural informatics is introduced to help students utilize digital tools and data-driven methods for monitoring and optimizing crop production.The second year focuses on applied crop production, economics, and the regulatory framework influencing agriculture. Courses in Crop Production I and II provide in-depth practical knowledge, emphasizing mechanization, irrigation management, and precision farming technologies. Students study agrochemistry, plant breeding, and transgenic plants to understand modern methods of improving crop yield and resilience. Land classification, regional development, and EU agricultural law offer insights into the socio-economic and regulatory context of agriculture. Quality assurance and management in field crops are further developed to meet industry standards. Research methodology and extension courses prepare students to conduct scientific studies, analyze data, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.Graduates of the program are prepared to apply modern technologies and innovative approaches to optimize crop production sustainably. They are capable of working in crop production management, agricultural consulting, precision farming implementation, research, and agribusiness development.
