COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Agricultural Environmental Management Engineering is a comprehensive program designed to expand and deepen the knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies in agriculture, environmental science, and related fields. It combines theoretical instruction with applied research, emphasizing the sustainable management of natural resources, environmental protection, and the implementation of innovative technologies in agriculture. Students are trained to assess, monitor, and manage agricultural ecosystems while minimizing environmental impacts and promoting sustainability.In the first year, students focus on natural sciences, environmental monitoring, and the technological aspects of sustainable agriculture. Core subjects include soil science and soil ecology, water management with emphasis on agrohydrology and irrigation techniques, environmental informatics for monitoring and modeling, and the evaluation of food chain safety. They also study sustainable agricultural systems in crop production and animal breeding, environmental impact assessment, environmental technologies such as soil remediation and protection, and biotechnology applications in agriculture. Additionally, students gain foundational knowledge in environmental law, sectoral administration, and nature conservation, preparing them to integrate scientific, technological, and policy considerations in their work.The second year emphasizes applied skills, research, and management. Students explore precision agricultural systems, advanced agricultural engineering, and environmental technologies such as wastewater treatment and water quality protection. Courses in farm business management, project management, and scientific communication ensure students are capable of managing complex projects and effectively presenting their research. They also study agro-environmental management topics including ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, landscape conservation, land consolidation, and agricultural and environmental policy. Finally, students examine management systems such as EMS, QMS, and FSMS, as well as agricultural and environmental economics.Throughout the program, students engage in fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and project-based learning, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. Graduates are equipped to work in environmental consultancy, governmental and non-governmental organizations, agricultural enterprises, or continue their research at the doctoral level. The MSc prepares professionals to lead sustainable agricultural and environmental initiatives, implement evidence-based strategies, and address the complex ecological challenges of modern agriculture.
