COURSE CURRICULUM

Instrumental, Vocal, or Conducting Technique and Performance forms the central component of the program. In this area, students receive intensive individual and group training focused on developing advanced technical proficiency, artistic interpretation, stylistic awareness, and stage presence. Emphasis is placed on mastering repertoire from different historical periods, refining expressive skills, and preparing for professional performances, competitions, and ensemble collaboration. Conducting students additionally develop score reading, rehearsal techniques, and leadership skills necessary for directing ensembles.History of Music provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of Western and European music, including Hungarian musical traditions. Through the study of major composers, stylistic movements, and cultural contexts, students gain insight into how historical, social, and artistic factors have shaped musical expression across centuries. This knowledge supports informed interpretation and deepens artistic awareness.Analysis focuses on the structural and theoretical examination of musical works. Students learn to identify formal structures, harmonic progressions, thematic development, and compositional techniques. By engaging in detailed analytical study, they strengthen their interpretative decisions and cultivate a deeper intellectual connection to the repertoire they perform.
