COURSE CURRICULUM

The Civil Engineering BSc program is structured over four years to progressively develop students’ analytical, technical, and professional competencies. In the first year, students build strong foundations in engineering mathematics, mechanics, descriptive geometry, technical drawing, engineering physics, hydraulics, construction materials, CAD modelling, geoinformatics, urban and regional development, quality management, informatics for engineers, and legal and administrative basics. The second year advances into applied subjects such as GIS, hydrology and hydrogeology, geology, geotechnics, transportation engineering, environmental engineering fundamentals, public works, economics, and design theory, strengthening both technical understanding and economic awareness. In the third year, students focus on core structural and construction disciplines including building construction, construction management, reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry structures, FEM modelling, water management and hydraulic structures, quality management, and structural design principles. The program concludes in the fourth year with advanced studies in bridges and structures, geotechnics, and the completion of a thesis. This comprehensive curriculum equips graduates with the engineering knowledge, design capability, and practical insight required to address real-world civil engineering challenges across planning, construction, and infrastructure development.
