COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mathematics BSc program provides students with a comprehensive foundation in both theoretical and applied mathematics, equipping them with analytical and problem-solving skills that are valuable across technical, economic, statistical, and computational fields. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamental elements of mathematics, including basics of mathematics, algebra and numbers, linear algebra, combinatorics, graph theory, sets and functions, geometry, and introductory analysis. These courses establish the essential tools for logical reasoning, abstract thinking, and structured problem-solving, laying a strong foundation for more advanced studies.During the second year, students progress to more sophisticated topics such as algebra, number theory, differential and integral calculus, computer geometry, linear programming, calculus in several variables, measure and integral theory, applied number theory, algorithms in algebra and number theory, and numerical analysis. This stage emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application, providing students with the ability to model and analyze real-world problems using computational and analytical methods. Laboratory exercises and algorithmic problem-solving enhance students’ capability to implement mathematical solutions effectively.In the third year, the focus shifts to advanced and specialized subjects, including ordinary differential equations, differential geometry, probability theory, introduction to cryptography, economic mathematics, nonlinear optimization, vector analysis, statistics, analysis with computer, and computer statistics. These courses integrate theoretical knowledge with applied techniques, enabling students to tackle complex problems and carry out independent research. The program culminates in the completion of a thesis, demonstrating students’ mastery of mathematical concepts and their ability to apply them in innovative ways. Graduates of the Mathematics BSc program are well-prepared for careers in data analysis, finance, engineering, IT, and research, or for continuing their studies at the master’s level, possessing a robust set of analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills applicable in diverse professional contexts.
