The Environmental Engineering BSc curriculum offers a comprehensive and practice-oriented education that gradually builds students’ knowledge from fundamental sciences to advanced environmental engineering applications. In the first year, students establish strong foundations in mathematics, chemistry, engineering physics, applied biology, ecology, and engineering informatics, alongside core engineering skills such as technical drawing, CAD basics, ergonomics, and environment, health and safety. The second year expands this base with chemistry, law and business studies, microeconomics and macroeconomics, quality and engineering management, and key environmental disciplines including waste management, air quality protection, soil management, environmental energetics, noise and vibration control, and environmental measurement and monitoring techniques. During the third year, students move toward integrated professional competencies through materials engineering, environmental law and administration, radiation protection, landscape and water environment protection, environmental impact assessment, water management and water quality protection, environmental management, environmental GIS, and complex environmental engineering planning, while also gaining insight into food production and land use systems. The final year emphasizes applied knowledge through environmental economics, project and environmental management, advanced GIS applications, and comprehensive planning, culminating in the completion of a thesis that demonstrates independent problem-solving and analytical skills. Throughout the program, students develop the ability to assess environmental risks, design mitigation strategies, operate monitoring systems, and support sustainable development initiatives. Practical laboratory work and project-based learning strengthen technical competence, while economics and management subjects prepare graduates to function effectively in professional and regulatory environments. By integrating engineering principles with environmental sciences and policy awareness, the program equips graduates to address challenges such as pollution control, resource management, and environmental protection. Upon completion, students are prepared to contribute to public and private sector projects, support environmental compliance, and participate in planning and implementation processes that promote sustainability, resilience, and responsible use of natural resources.
