COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science Engineer BSc curriculum is structured to provide a strong theoretical foundation alongside intensive practical training across four academic years. In the first year, students build core competencies in algorithms, programming, calculus, engineering mathematics, physics, electronics, logic, and computer science, while also studying data structures, probability theory, digital design, programming languages, and computer architectures, supported by laboratory practice. The second year expands this foundation with subjects such as signals and systems, operating systems, system programming, control systems, computer networks, web solutions, enterprise information systems, microcontrollers, and software development for engineers, complemented by introductory economics and graphical programming environments. In the third year, the focus shifts toward advanced and applied topics including artificial intelligence, embedded systems, assembly programming, database systems, IT security, computer graphics, mobile solutions, telecommunication systems, programmable logic devices, and network device programming, together with modelling and performance evaluation of information technology systems and networks. Students also gain insight into business law and management basics for engineers, strengthening their understanding of professional and organizational contexts. Throughout the program, special emphasis is placed on development of embedded systems, knowledge representation, and practical network technologies, ensuring graduates can design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructures. In the final year, students deepen their expertise through specialized topics such as sensor and actuator networks and complete a thesis project that demonstrates their ability to integrate engineering principles with informatics knowledge. Overall, the curriculum prepares graduates to work confidently with software, hardware, and networked systems, equipping them with analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience needed for modern engineering environments, while also providing a solid basis for further studies at the MSc level or direct entry into professional practice.
