ABOUT UNIVERSITY

John von Neumann University is a university of applied sciences located in Kecskemét, Hungary, focused on human-centered education, lifelong learning, and practical knowledge that meets modern economic and social needs. The university aims to build domestic and international competitiveness by using advanced tools, innovative teaching methods, and strong cooperation with industry and regional partners. Its mission is to provide continuously updated and competitive education that supports students in developing their abilities and preparing for labor market demands. The institution also contributes to the European Higher Education Area and offers a range of programs including BSc, MSc, higher education vocational training, and specialized postgraduate courses. Since August 1, 2020, the university has operated as a private higher education institution of public benefit maintained by a foundation. The university has three main faculties: the GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development. Its history began with the establishment of Kecskemét College in 2000 through the integration of several local higher education institutions. In 2016 it became Pallasz Athéné University and in 2017 it was renamed John von Neumann University. The institution also supports research and innovation through several knowledge centers established in 2021, strengthening education, industry collaboration, and technological development in the region.
