COURSE CURRICULUM

The Finance and Accounting BSc program gives students a comprehensive education in financial theory and practice, preparing them to understand and analyse both domestic and international financial processes with confidence and clarity. The curriculum begins by introducing core subjects such as Introduction to Finance and Corporate Finance, where students learn fundamental principles of money, markets, and financial decision-making. Accounting courses build a strong foundation in recording, reporting, and interpreting financial information, while complementary subjects like Calculus for Business and Economics, Statistics, and Business Economics ensure students develop the analytical and quantitative skills essential for modern finance roles. As the program progresses, students explore advanced topics including Taxation Systems, Investments, Financial Law, Strategic Planning, and Economic Analysis, giving them insight into how businesses plan for growth, manage resources, and respond to economic challenges. Practical modules such as Audit, Risk and Control, Insurance, Project Financing, Management Accounting, and Controlling provide hands-on understanding of risk management, internal financial oversight, and strategic control systems within organisations. Students also study specialised areas like Accounting for Financial Institutions, IT Support of Finance and Accounting, and International Financial Accounting for Multinational Companies, helping them understand how financial functions operate in complex global environments. Project Planning, Foundations of International Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Consolidated Annual Reporting further deepen students’ ability to prepare, interpret, and communicate financial results. Throughout the curriculum, advanced financial tools and software are integrated into learning to reflect the needs of today’s e-business and finance sectors, strengthening students’ technical competence and business planning capabilities. The program also offers specialisation options in Finance and International Accounting when minimum enrolment conditions are met, giving students opportunities to tailor their studies.
