COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Business Studies (Management) is a four-year undergraduate programme that develops a broad understanding of business management while progressively building leadership, strategic, analytical, digital, and professional skills. In Year 1, students establish a strong foundation through Management, Microeconomics, Marketing, Quantitative Methods for Business and Finance, Macroeconomics, Artificial Intelligence Literacy, IT Applications, Academic and Professional Communication, and early career and transferable skills. Year 2 expands this knowledge through Management, Accounting, Business Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology for Management, European Union studies, Business for Society, and Business Law. Year 3 introduces more advanced business and management topics, including Organisational Behaviour, Decision Making with IT, Management Accounting, Financial Institutions and Markets, Corporate Sustainability, Marketing Management Strategies, Consumer Behaviour, Financial Management, Digital Transformation, Operations Management, International Political Economy, and current Business Law issues. In Year 4, students focus more strongly on strategic and practical management through Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Business Strategy, Developing and Managing Corporate Identity, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Personal Selling and Sales Management. The Practicum provides further practical exposure to Human Resource Management, Project Risk Management, Managing Innovation, and Managing in a Digital Era. Overall, the curriculum combines theoretical business knowledge with practical learning and prepares students to understand how organisations operate, make effective decisions, manage people and resources, and respond to changing business environments. Students develop important skills in leadership, strategic thinking, communication, problem-solving, innovation, risk management, digital technology, sales, operations, and supply chain management. The programme also provides an international perspective through subjects related to international business and political economy, while sustainability and digital transformation help students understand contemporary organisational challenges. By combining academic study with practical and applied learning, the programme provides a strong foundation for careers in management, human resources, operations, sales, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, business development, project management, and other business-related roles.
