COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Business Studies programme is structured across four years, combining management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, technology, and professional skills. In Year 1, students develop foundational knowledge through Management, Microeconomics, Marketing, Quantitative Methods for Business and Finance, Macroeconomics, Artificial Intelligence Literacy, IT Applications, Academic and Professional Communication, and transferable career skills. Year 2 builds on these foundations with Management, Marketing, Accounting, Business Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology for Management, the European Union, Business for Society, and an introduction to Business Law. Year 3 focuses on advanced business concepts, including Organisational Behaviour, Decision Making with IT, Management Accounting, Financial Institutions and Markets, Corporate Sustainability, Marketing Management Strategies, Consumer Behaviour, Financial Management, Digital Transformation, Operations Management, International Political Economy, and current Business Law issues. In Year 4, students develop strategic and international expertise through Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Business Strategy, Econometrics, International Financial Management, and Financial Accounting and Analysis based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The programme also includes a practical Practicum that provides exposure to Money and Banking, Portfolio and Security Analysis, Cost Accounting, and Auditing. Overall, the curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with quantitative, analytical, digital, financial, and practical skills, preparing students to understand and respond to complex business challenges. It supports the development of strategic decision-making, financial analysis, technological awareness, communication, problem-solving, and professional abilities. By progressing from foundational subjects in the first year to specialized financial, management, marketing, international business, and practical subjects in later years, students gain a broad and integrated understanding of modern business operations.
