COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in Computing with a specialisation in Internet Technology and Security includes modules covering databases, internet programming, cybersecurity, software development, computer architecture, networking, and independent research. Databases introduces students to the principles of storing, organizing, managing, retrieving, and maintaining digital information, providing an essential foundation for modern applications and internet-based systems. Internet Programming focuses on programming techniques and technologies used to develop websites, web applications, and interactive online services, helping students build practical skills for internet-based development. Internet Security examines the principles and practices involved in protecting websites, networks, applications, systems, and data from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and other security risks. Visual Object Software develops students’ understanding of object-oriented software development and visual programming approaches, helping them design and implement effective software solutions. Modern Computer Architecture explores the structure and operation of contemporary computer systems, including how hardware components work together to support software and computing processes. Computer Networks provides knowledge of how computers and digital devices communicate and share information through networks, covering concepts relevant to network design, operation, connectivity, and administration. The Dissertation allows students to undertake an independent research project related to computing, internet technology, security, programming, networking, or another relevant area of interest.
