COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master in Business Information Systems modules provide students with a comprehensive understanding of information systems, databases, digital transformation, software implementation, management information systems, business intelligence, data analytics, and applied research. Database Systems focuses on the design, organization, management, and use of databases, helping students understand how organizations store, manage, retrieve, and protect important business information. Information System Methods & Analysis develops students’ ability to analyse organizational requirements and apply appropriate methods to design and improve information systems that support business processes and objectives. Entrepreneurship & Digital Transformation explores how entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and emerging digital technologies can transform organizations, create new business opportunities, and support adaptation to changing markets. Software Implementation examines the processes involved in selecting, implementing, managing, and evaluating software solutions within business environments, with attention to ensuring that technology effectively meets organizational needs. Management Information Systems and Decision Support focuses on how information systems provide managers with relevant information for planning, monitoring, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making. Business Intelligence and Data Analytics develops students’ ability to collect, process, analyse, and interpret business data to generate meaningful insights and support evidence-based decisions. The Business Information Technology Project (Dissertation) allows students to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the programme to an independent research or technology-related project, developing their abilities in investigation, critical analysis, problem-solving, project management, and professional communication. Together, these modules create a balanced combination of technical, analytical, managerial, and entrepreneurial knowledge. Students gain an understanding of how information technology can be strategically applied to improve business processes, support decision-making, enhance organizational performance, and enable digital innovation.
