COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Accounting and Finance modules provide students with advanced knowledge and practical understanding of accounting, financial strategy, investment, auditing, governance, and research. Corporate Reporting focuses on the preparation, interpretation, and evaluation of corporate financial information, helping students understand how organizations communicate their financial performance to stakeholders. Global Financial Strategy develops an understanding of financial decision-making within international markets and examines how organizations can manage financial challenges and opportunities across different global environments. Financial and Business Strategy explores the relationship between financial management and broader business objectives, enabling students to evaluate strategic choices and contribute to organizational growth and long-term performance. Strategic Audit examines the role of auditing within organizations, with emphasis on evaluating business processes, financial information, risk, controls, and strategic performance. Investment Analysis develops students’ ability to assess investment opportunities, analyse financial information, evaluate risks and returns, and support informed investment decisions. Social Responsibility and Governance explores ethical business practices, corporate responsibility, accountability, and effective governance, helping students understand how organizations can balance financial objectives with their responsibilities to stakeholders and society. Dissertation and Research Methods develops advanced research skills and enables students to independently investigate an accounting or finance-related issue using appropriate research methods. The dissertation provides an opportunity to apply the knowledge and analytical skills gained throughout the programme to a specific area of interest and demonstrate independent critical thinking. Together, these modules create a comprehensive learning experience that combines accounting expertise, financial analysis, strategic decision-making, investment knowledge, auditing, ethical awareness, governance, and research capabilities. The programme prepares students to understand complex financial and business issues and develop the analytical, strategic, and professional skills needed for careers in accounting, finance, auditing, investment, financial management, and related fields across a wide range of organizations and sectors.
