COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) in Web Development and Cyber Security modules provide students with a comprehensive combination of programming, web development, database management, networking, software engineering, cybersecurity, ethical hacking, server administration, and mobile computing. Problem Solving & Programming develops logical thinking, programming abilities, and computational problem-solving skills needed to create effective technical solutions. Database Design and Development introduces students to designing, developing, managing, and maintaining databases, while Object-Relational Databases and Modern Databases expand their knowledge of advanced database technologies and data management systems. Computer Systems provides an understanding of computer hardware, software, and system operations, while Computer Communications explores how computers and digital devices communicate and exchange information through networks. Web Development and Web Programming develop practical skills for creating websites and web-based applications, while Software Engineering Fundamentals introduces structured approaches to software design, development, testing, and maintenance. Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing focuses on identifying system vulnerabilities and understanding authorized security testing techniques used to assess and improve cybersecurity. Server Administration and Security develops knowledge of configuring, managing, maintaining, and securing servers and IT infrastructure. Finally, the Computing Dissertation enables students to undertake independent research into a relevant computing topic and apply their technical, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to a substantial project.
