COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Psychology: Coaching & Counseling program is structured over four semesters, totaling 120 ECTS credits. In the first semester, students engage in foundational modules including Psychological Counseling for Families and Couples (3 ECTS, 3 hours per week), Individual Coaching: Concepts (5 ECTS, 3 HWS), and Diagnostics focusing on Test Theory and Diagnostic Procedures (3 ECTS, 3 HWS). The second semester builds on this with practical modules such as Individual Coaching in Practice and Business Coaching in Practice (both 5 ECTS, 5 HWS), alongside Diagnostics related to Testing and Decision-Making in Consultation and Assessment (5 ECTS, 3 HWS). Students also take Psychological Topics in Coaching and Counseling and Business Coaching: Concepts in Leadership (5 ECTS each, 3 HWS), both joint modules offered at the faculty level. The third semester includes specialization in Research Methods (5 ECTS, 3 HWS), Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models (3 ECTS), Advanced Research Methodologies (3 ECTS), and Health Science Interfaces (3 ECTS). Additionally, students select an interdisciplinary elective (5 ECTS). The fourth semester focuses on the Thesis & Colloquium (30 ECTS, 1 HWS) and an Internship & Capstone Project (15 ECTS, 9 HWS), giving practical experience and research opportunities. The program also includes the Capstone Project, a practical consulting assignment that can span multiple study programs, emphasizing applied learning and interdisciplinary collaboration. This structure provides a comprehensive blend of theory, practice, and research to prepare students for careers in coaching, counseling, and related psychological fields.
