COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Software Engineering is a two-semester program followed by a final thesis, totaling 60 ECTS. Designed to develop advanced technical skills and strategic thinking, the program integrates key areas of modern software development with interdisciplinary and research-driven learning. In the first semester, students complete 30 ECTS with modules such as Software Optimization, Advanced Software Design, Pattern Recognition, Vehicular Technology, and Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models, each worth 5 ECTS and averaging 3 hours per week. These courses focus on enhancing performance efficiency, applying design principles, and understanding software applications in complex systems. The second semester builds on this foundation with modules like Machine Learning, Decision Support Systems, and Advanced Research Methodologies, providing students with practical and theoretical tools in AI and data-driven decision-making. Students also complete an Interdisciplinary Elective, allowing them to engage with content from other programs or faculties, promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration. The program culminates in a Master’s Thesis & Colloquium worth 15 ECTS, where students apply their skills to a comprehensive research or development project, demonstrating their ability to solve complex problems independently. With its mix of software engineering, machine learning, and innovation-focused modules, this MSc equips graduates for roles in high-tech industries, research, and systems development.
