COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Public Health Management MSc is a two-semester program followed by a thesis phase, totaling 60 ECTS credits, designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global public health challenges and the skills required to manage health systems effectively. The first semester covers foundational topics such as psychology and sociology of healthcare, health economics and finance, public health systems and policy, globalisation and public health challenges, and principles of public health, offering 30 ECTS with a weekly workload of about 18 hours. The second semester focuses on more specialized subjects including human resource management in the health sector, health promotion and prevention, health statistics and data analysis, and interdisciplinary electives, also totaling 30 ECTS but with a lighter weekly workload of approximately 11 hours. The final phase is the thesis and colloquium, a 15 ECTS research project where students integrate theoretical knowledge with practical public health issues, showcasing critical thinking and research abilities. The program encourages interdisciplinary learning and collaboration through faculty-wide and elective modules, preparing graduates for leadership roles in international public health organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and healthcare institutions. By combining academic rigor with practical application, the MSc equips students to address complex health challenges on a global scale and contribute effectively to public health management and policy.
