COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Management (MSc) program is structured over two semesters, totaling 60 ECTS credits, with an average workload of 18 hours per week in the first semester and 11 hours in the second. The curriculum combines specialization modules from the study program with interdisciplinary and elective modules from other faculties, encouraging a broad and dynamic learning experience. In the first semester, students engage in core modules such as Advanced Research Methodologies, Globalized Value Chain & Digital Management, Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models, Human Capital Management, Customer Centric Management, and Strategic & Digital Marketing, each worth 5 ECTS and typically involving about 3 hours of weekly study. These courses focus on developing essential skills in managing global business operations, innovation, customer focus, and digital marketing strategies. The second semester continues with modules like Business Development & Control and Corporate Framing: Financials and Group Accounting, emphasizing financial acumen and strategic management. Additionally, students choose interdisciplinary electives from related programs like IDM or ISEM, which foster cross-disciplinary insights and skills. A significant component of the program is the Thesis & Colloquium, which accounts for 15 ECTS and is completed over the second semester. This research project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges in international business management, integrating research methodologies with real-world business applications. Overall, the program prepares graduates for leadership roles in international business, equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of global value chains, digital transformation, financial control, and strategic management in a global context.
