COURSE CURRICULUM

The Data Science (M.Sc.) program is structured over three semesters, totaling 90 ECTS credits, and combines technical, analytical, and interdisciplinary learning to prepare students for data-centric roles across industries. In the first semester, students engage in foundational subjects such as Data Analytics, Decision Support Systems, Data Engineering, and Data Science & Business, with each course contributing 5 ECTS and involving approximately 3 hours of weekly instruction. The second semester builds upon this base with specialized modules including Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, and Marketing Analytics, alongside Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models to bridge data science with practical business strategy. Each of these modules continues to emphasize both theory and hands-on application. Throughout the first two semesters, students also complete cross-disciplinary courses such as Comparative Cultural Studies, Advanced Research Methodologies, and Contemporary Leadership Culture to enhance their soft skills and broaden their understanding of global and ethical issues in technology. Additionally, students have access to interdisciplinary and university-wide electives, allowing for customizable learning paths and collaboration across faculties. The final semester is dedicated to the Thesis and Colloquium, a comprehensive 20 ECTS research project that synthesizes academic knowledge and practical expertise, ideally addressing real-world data challenges. The program’s integrated approach equips graduates with both deep technical proficiency and leadership skills, making them capable of solving complex problems in data-driven environments.
