COURSE CURRICULUM

The Design Leadership master’s program spans two semesters with a total of 60 ECTS credits. In the first semester, students undertake core modules including Design Narratives: Generative AI, Design Project Management, Design Operations, Design Strategies/Management Case, Visual Identities, and Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models. Most modules carry 5 ECTS credits and involve approximately 3 hours per week, except Visual Identities which is a more intensive 10 ECTS course with 6 hours weekly. The curriculum combines creative and managerial skills, focusing on design leadership and strategic thinking. The second semester includes modules such as Design Research Methodologies and Dialogical Communication: Influencer, Social & Co., both valued at 5 ECTS and about 3 hours per week. Students may also select interdisciplinary electives from other degree programs, promoting a broad and dynamic learning experience. The program concludes with the Thesis and Colloquium, a substantial 15 ECTS research project with a lighter weekly workload, allowing students to synthesize theory and practice in design leadership. Some modules are joint offerings with the Business faculty, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and a comprehensive understanding of design in a business context. This program prepares students to lead and innovate in design-driven environments, combining creativity, management, and communication skills.
