COURSE CURRICULUM

The Innovation Design Management master’s program at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences offers students a comprehensive education that bridges creative design, business strategy, and IT processes. This interdisciplinary program is designed to prepare future managers who can leverage design as a strategic asset in driving innovation and sustainable consumer benefits. Students learn how to incorporate creative thinking and an artistic mindset into business decisions, transforming both the organisation and vision of companies. The program is structured over four semesters, totaling 120 ECTS credits, and features a blend of core modules, electives, and a final thesis.Students choose between two specialization pathways: Innovation by Design or Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Each pathway offers a selection of mandatory elective modules tailored to specific career goals. For example, the Innovation by Design track includes modules such as Strategic Branding, Atlas of Design, and Product Strategy. Meanwhile, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship pathway focuses on Innovation Management, Atlas of Opportunity, Business Model Design, Managing Change by Design, and Entrepreneurship. Both pathways include interdisciplinary electives that can be selected from other degree programs, offering flexibility to tailor studies according to personal interests and professional aspirations.Throughout the program, students engage in a variety of courses that foster critical thinking and leadership skills, such as Contemporary Leadership Culture and Advanced Research Methodologies. Practical experience is emphasized through the Capstone Project, a consulting-oriented module that may involve collaboration across multiple programs, and the final thesis, which allows students to develop and demonstrate their knowledge in a specialized topic.By combining theory with practical application, the Innovation Design Management program equips graduates with the ability to innovate effectively and lead change in dynamic and evolving business environments.
