COURSE CURRICULUM

The Design Leadership master’s program spans three semesters totaling 90 ECTS credits, with a weekly workload of approximately 18 hours in the first two semesters and fewer hours in the final semester. The curriculum combines creative design and management skills, offering a wide range of modules. In the first semester, students study Design Strategies/Management Case, Design Narratives including Generative AI, UX/UI/Web/App, and AR/VR/XR, Visual Identities, Design Operations, and Design Project Management, alongside Ethics in Design & Management and Entrepreneurial Thinking & Digital Models. Most modules are worth 5 ECTS with 3 hours per week, except Visual Identities which is 10 ECTS and 6 hours weekly. The second semester continues with Dialogical Communication: Influencer, Social & Co., Interdisciplinary Electives, Design Research Methodologies, and Cultural Studies, providing interdisciplinary perspectives and research skills. The program includes joint modules with the Business faculty, enhancing the blend of design and business knowledge. The final semester is dedicated to the Thesis and Colloquium, a 20 ECTS research project that integrates theoretical insights with practical design leadership application, with a reduced weekly workload. This program equips students with the ability to lead and innovate in design environments, blending strategic management, creative narratives, ethics, and entrepreneurial thinking for comprehensive professional development.
