COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Sport and Event Management at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences is a six-semester program that offers students a well-rounded education combining theory, practical experience, and industry specialization. With a total of 180 ECTS credits, the program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the sports and events industries, which are both dynamic and growing on a global scale. These are complemented by specialized modules focused on sport and event economics, management processes, service management, marketing, and entrepreneurship within the sport and event sectors. The program also integrates digital media, communication, digital transformation, and a dedicated digital work lab to ensure students are prepared for modern business environments. Employability modules including business English, soft skills, and agile methods support professional development.Hands-on experience is a key component of the curriculum. Students complete both an internship semester and a semester abroad, gaining valuable insights into international markets and real-world professional settings. In the final semester, students work on a bachelor thesis and present their findings in a thesis colloquium. For those seeking to specialize further, the program offers two optional tracks: eSports Studies and Football Management. Each specialization adds 20 ECTS credits and includes four modules covering industry-specific knowledge and case studies. eSports focuses on game analytics, coaching, and future trends, while Football Management explores league structures, club operations, marketing strategies, and future opportunities in football.The structure of the program ensures that graduates leave with a mix of strategic thinking, technical skills, and practical experience. They are equipped to pursue careers in areas such as event planning, sports marketing, venue management, club operations, and emerging digital sports markets.
