COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Health Management program offers a total of 180 ECTS credits, combining theoretical foundations, mandatory modules, elective courses, practical experience, and a final thesis. The curriculum is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector alongside essential management skills.In the first semester, students focus on basic modules such as Concepts of Health and Disease, Management Basics, Mathematics & Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Sales & CRM, and Business English for employability. The second semester builds on this foundation with courses covering Health Systems and Policy, Human Resources & Organisation, Quantitative & Qualitative Methods, Financial Accounting & Reporting, Digital Media & Communication, and Soft Skills development.The third semester includes subjects like Health Communication, Law, Applied Research Project, Controlling & Cost Accounting, Digital Transformation, and Agile & Creative Methods to enhance practical and strategic skills. Moving into the fourth semester, students study Health Management and Settings, Health and Environment, Strategic Health Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Healthcare, Finance, and Digital Work/Lab.Practical experience is a key part of the program, with options for a semester abroad or an internship semester, each worth 30 ECTS, providing valuable real-world exposure. The final two semesters conclude with a Bachelor Thesis Kolloquium and the Bachelor Thesis itself, allowing students to apply their acquired knowledge to a comprehensive research project.Throughout the program, students develop a broad skill set combining healthcare knowledge with business and digital competencies. This prepares graduates for leadership roles in various healthcare organizations by balancing patient care quality, operational efficiency, and strategic management. The curriculum’s structure ensures a well-rounded education that responds to the complexities and demands of today’s healthcare industry.
