COURSE CURRICULUM

The UX/UI Design (BA) program at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences offers a comprehensive and practice-oriented curriculum across six semesters, equipping students with the technical, creative, and strategic skills required to thrive in today’s digital design industry. From the outset, students explore foundational modules such as General Design Foundations, Human-Centered Design, and Visual User Interfaces, gaining insight into how people interact with technology and digital environments. Through project-based learning in modules like Foundation Projects and Designing Interactions, students develop core competencies in prototyping, interaction design, and usability. As they progress, they delve deeper into advanced topics such as Technologies for Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Realities, UX Design for Impact, Critical UX, and Agile Project Management, allowing them to explore emerging digital tools and user-centred design strategies. Complementary courses in media theory, digital transformation, aesthetics, and cultural studies further broaden their understanding of design's role in contemporary society. In the fifth semester, students benefit from a semester abroad or an internship to gain international or industry experience. The final semester culminates in a comprehensive Bachelor’s thesis and a professional design project, enabling students to showcase their design expertise. With integrated interdisciplinary modules and strong emphasis on both practical execution and critical thinking, this curriculum positions graduates as forward-thinking UX/UI designers ready to lead digital innovation across diverse sectors.
