COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master’s curriculum in Information Technology – Artificial Intelligence is structured as a 4-semester, 120 ECTS program that combines strong theoretical foundations with applied, industry-relevant training. In the initial phase of the program, students focus on essential concepts such as information transmission and compression, as well as the fundamental principles and techniques used for transmitting signals across wired and wireless networks. This foundation is complemented by in-depth study of digital signal processing, image processing, and machine learning, enabling students to understand how data is captured, transformed, and analyzed within intelligent systems. As the program progresses, students deepen their expertise in artificial intelligence through advanced modules, including Deep Neural Networks, where they explore powerful learning architectures and modern AI methodologies. Programming competence is strengthened through intensive work in Python, preparing students to design, implement, and optimize AI-driven applications. Practical relevance is emphasized through an integrated internship, which allows students to gain hands-on experience, apply theoretical knowledge in real-world environments, and develop professional skills. The program concludes with a Master’s thesis, in which students independently investigate a complex AI-related problem, demonstrating analytical thinking, technical expertise, and research capability. Overall, the curriculum prepares graduates for advanced technical roles and innovation-driven careers in artificial intelligence and intelligent information systems.
