COURSE CURRICULUM

The B.Sc. in Computer Science offers a structured and practice-oriented curriculum that prepares students for careers in software development, IT systems, and emerging technologies. In the first semester, students build foundational knowledge with modules in Fundamentals of Computer Science, Programming, Mathematics, Project Management, and Personal and Future Skills. The second semester expands technical skills through courses in Computer Networks, a Programming Lab, Computer Security, Software Engineering, and Communication Competence. In the third semester, students deepen their analytical and technical capabilities with Algorithms and Data Structures, Mathematics 2, Databases, Operating Systems/Web Computing, and a Computer and Media Lab. The fourth semester introduces advanced topics, including Statistics, Cloud Computing, Imaging Technologies, Electronics for IoT, and an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In the fifth semester, students continue with Embedded Systems, Data Visualisation, Advanced AI/ML, and Engineering Lab, while learning research and development methods essential for applied innovation. The final semester is dedicated to professional experience and academic consolidation: students complete an internship or research project (18 ECTS), followed by a Bachelor’s Thesis (12 ECTS). Throughout the program, students apply their knowledge in hands-on labs and team projects, gaining real-world experience and a solid grounding in agile methods and interdisciplinary collaboration.
