COURSE CURRICULUM

The B.A. Photography curriculum is structured over seven semesters and comprises a total of 210 ECTS credits, providing a comprehensive and practice-oriented education in photographic studies. Each semester carries 30 ECTS, ensuring a balanced academic workload throughout the program. The first semester introduces students to foundational skills through a series of studio-based and theoretical modules. Photography Studio I focuses on studio photography and typography, while Photography Studio II emphasizes portrait photography, photo aesthetics, and introductory graphic design. Photography Studio III covers product photography, product aesthetics, and CGI-based product visualization, allowing students to explore both traditional and digital production methods. Complementing the studio work, the Communication Science module introduces communication theory, design principles, and art history to build critical and contextual understanding of visual media. The Photography Media Lab develops technical competencies in photography technology and familiarizes students with photography and design software used in professional practice. A compulsory elective module allows students to personalize their learning by choosing subjects such as analogue photography, web development, or image editing. In subsequent semesters, the curriculum continues to expand technical expertise, creative practice, and conceptual depth, gradually guiding students toward independent projects and professional readiness within the diverse field of photography.
