COURSE CURRICULUM

The Economics & Management specialization provides students with a thorough understanding of core business functions and their economic context. The curriculum covers essential International Business Administration (IBA) topics but places special emphasis on key operational areas such as logistics, quality control, financial management, and business accountancy—skills fundamental to managing economic aspects of organizations. Students participate in excursions to both profit and non-profit entities, gaining exposure to real-world business environments. A practical highlight of the program is the opportunity to develop a startup through modules like the Business Plan course. Core business modules include World Wide Business and Law, Logistics, and Quality Management, all designed to build a solid foundation in organizational operations. Students also undertake coursework in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Finance to prepare for business administration roles. In their second year, students engage in specialization courses such as Procurement & Production, Business Philosophy, and Managing Organisations. Procurement & Production emphasizes the relationship between purchasing, supply functions, and the broader organization. Business Philosophy introduces students to influential economic thinkers like Adam Smith, Karl Marx, and John Maynard Keynes, fostering critical analysis and a deeper understanding of political-economy. The Managing Organisations module focuses on identifying and leveraging organizational resources—financial, physical, and intangible—for strategic advantage. Through these diverse modules, students gain the analytical, operational, and leadership skills needed to manage and drive success in a dynamic global economy.
