COURSE CURRICULUM

This program offers a comprehensive and future-focused foundation in design within the context of arts and culture, combining creative practice with critical, economic, and research-based perspectives. It begins with core elements such as creative problem solving, project management, scientific methodology, and design research, enabling students to approach complex cultural and social challenges in a structured and reflective way. Building on this foundation, the program deepens knowledge of design techniques, critical theory, and the economic dimensions of design, with a clear focus on arts and culture. Through specialised courses, students explore social design practices and learn how design can create cultural value and social impact. They examine contemporary new media design culture, visual culture studies, and the economic frameworks that shape creative industries. Leadership in arts and culture is another key component, preparing students to take on responsible and strategic roles in creative and cultural organisations. The course on value formation in art and design encourages critical reflection on aesthetic, cultural, and societal values. In addition, elective modules allow students to broaden their profile with topics such as strategic management, interculturality and diversity, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and innovation and emerging technologies.
