COURSE CURRICULUM
The Master’s in Social Transformation is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme designed to prepare students to understand, manage, and lead complex transformation processes affecting organisations, businesses, governments, and society. The programme combines perspectives from political science, philosophy, economics, sociology, management, and organisational studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of how social, technological, economic, and political change shapes the modern world. Students examine theories and models of change while exploring digitalisation, globalisation, sustainability, and innovation as key drivers of organisational and societal transformation. The curriculum develops the ability to analyse complex systems, design sustainable business models, create innovative organisational structures, and implement strategic transformation initiatives that balance economic performance with ethical, environmental, and social responsibilities. Students gain practical expertise in change management, project management, organisational development, innovation culture, conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation, leadership, and change communication, enabling them to lead transformation projects effectively across diverse sectors. Throughout the programme, students strengthen their analytical, research, consulting, critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills while learning scientific methods for investigating transformation processes and evaluating organisational change. Major areas of study include Political Action, Philosophy of Action, Behavioural Economics, Political Practices, Social Movements and Civic Engagement, Political Philosophy of Resonance, Resistance and Responsibility, Alternative Organisational and Socioeconomic Practices, Leading Others through Power, Conflict and Negotiation, Global Governance, Practical Wisdom and Global Justice, Integral Pluralism, Global Economics, and Leading Change through Creativity, Improvisation, and Play. These subjects provide students with a deep understanding of leadership, governance, public policy, ethical decision-making, organisational behaviour, and sustainable development within local and international contexts. The programme emphasises the practical application of interdisciplinary knowledge by enabling students to develop, implement, and evaluate sustainable transformation strategies while considering the ethical implications of digital and social change. Graduates are well prepared for careers in organisational development, management consulting, sustainability and ESG consulting, change management, public policy, international organisations, non-governmental organisations, corporate strategy, innovation management, human resources, government agencies, and social entrepreneurship. The programme also provides a strong academic foundation for doctoral research and advanced professional development. Overall, the Master’s in Social Transformation equips graduates with the interdisciplinary knowledge, strategic leadership abilities, consulting expertise, and ethical perspective required to successfully lead organisational and societal transformation in an increasingly complex and interconnected global environment.
